Beans (Pole)
 Tiawan Yard-Long Green
129"5" x 1' 1"This is a true “Yard Long” bean, that can easily reach over 3 feet in length! Get high yields from a small space, the vines set a heavy crop of these delicious pods that will amaze your friends. We love these beans stir-fried. They have superior flavor to common beans. The dry beans are black in color and make a superb cooking bean. This rare variety was brought to America by a Taiwanese immigrant around 1970. This versatile Asian bean has garnered the nickname asparagus bean for its crisp texture, reminiscent of the favorite seasonal delicacy. Also called noodle beans the young pods make a perfect spaghetti substitute. This is the longest bean we have seen, reaching over 3 feet in length!
Beans (Pole)
 Winged Bean
1211"5" x 1' 1"An early maturing and supremely delicious winged bean from Japan. This highly adaptable winged bean variety is not day length sensitive, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of growing areas. ; this variety will begin to produce pods in August and heavy production continues until frost. This heat-loving vegetable is especially popular on the island of Okinawa, Japan, where it takes center stage during the warm summer months. Vines are lush and tropical looking, with large, lavender flowers and unique pods. The vines will readily climb a trellis or fence, making this an exotic edible ornamental.
Beans (Pole)
 Chinese Red Noodle
119"5" x 1' 1"80 days. This is the most stunning and unique bean we have grown yet. Fantastic, deep red, 18-inch pods are so delicious and full of nutrition, and they even keep most of their color when sautéed! Long vines produce all summer and do well under many conditions. This incredible variety will draw lots of attention in your home garden or at market. We are so excited to offer this unique, Chinese ethnic variety that produces fairly early. Small red seeds.
Beans (Pole) 259"5" x 1' 1"
Beans (Pole)
 Chinese Pythone Snake
129"5" x 1' 1" (AKA Snake Melon or Snake Gourd) (Trichosanthes cucumerina) Unusual and delicious gourd relative that is referred to and used as a bean in its native China. Its fruit tastes much like green beans, except even more delicious and tender. We could give up a lot of other vegetables before we would not grow this queen of garden crops, known for its divine taste and snake-like beauty. So snake-like, in fact, that the beans terrify more than a few visitors to our garden each summer! Snake bean is almost completely absent in U.S. markets. Its long, delicate fruit doesn’t ship easily. Chinese Green Python snake bean is the largest snake bean variety, growing up to 60 inches long and 1.5 inches thick! As it matures, it develops bright green color and a thin layer of wax on the skin. When harvested at 12-30 inches long, it can be used like green beans or summer squash. Traditionally stir fried with peppers and onions, this vegetable has many culinary uses. In Africa the inside of fully mature fruit can be scraped out and used like tomato paste. This variety will need a sturdy trellis; pinching lateral branches under 30 inches will encourage climbing.
