	Most soils, enriched with plenty of compost.

    Sunny.

	Feeding
    Feed with a mulch of compost when flowers begin forming. Fortnightly liquid feed from mid summer.
    
	Spacing
	Single Plants: 60cm (1' 11") each way (minimum)
	Rows: 60cm (1' 11") with 60cm (1' 11") row gap (minimum)
	
	Sow and Plant
	In frost areas, sow under cover in seed trays in early spring. Plant out after last frosts. In frost free areas sow directly into the soil in early spring.

	Notes
	Basically the same as courgettes but left longer to produce fewer larger fruit. Seeds are removed before eating.
